FAQ's

Midash Window Cleaning
Q. How do you provide a quote?

In order to accurately quote, I would need to visit your home. All homes are unique and have different size windows, different access issues and so forth. Thus I am unable to provide quotes without seeing your home.

Q. What areas do you cover?
The only areas I work in are Sittingbourne (ME9, ME10), Maidstone (ME14, ME15, ME16, ME17), Isle of Sheppey (ME12), and Rainham (ME8).

Q. Do I need to be home when you clean my windows?

No, as long as I can access the rear of your property, there are no reasons you need to be home.

Q. Can I choose a day for you to clean my windows?

No, I need to organise my rounds for efficiency reasons and this generally means that I cannot be restricted by only visiting you on a specific day.

Q. What happens if i forget to leave the gate unlocked?

If upon arrival at your property and I'm unable to access the rear to clean your property, I will only clean the accessible windows  and there will be a minimum charge of at least £12, and could cost more depending on the size of your property.

Q. HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN YOU WILL CLEAN MY WINDOWS?

I will notify you the day before I'm scheduled to clean your windows.

Q. How do I pay you?

When I have finished cleaning your windows, I will send an invoice (either by email or sms) which include my bank details so you can pay by BACS.  You are also able to sign up to Go Cardless, which is a form of direct debit and money is only deducted when I have completed the job.  Cash is also accepted on the day if this is your preferred means of payment.

Q. WHEN DO YOU EXPECT PAYMENT?

There is no need to pay immediately.  All I ask is that payment is made within 28 days.

Q. How often should I have my windows cleaned?

Personally I find that every 6 weeks is sufficient in ensuring windows remain clean.  Therefore I only offer a 6 weekly interval as this ensures I can optimise my work efficiently.

Q. Do you work all year?

Yes, I only accept customers that wants an all-year round service.

Q. Do you dry windows after they have been cleaned?

No. With the pure water system I use, there is no need to dry the windows. There should be no water marks left on the windows if the windows are left to dry naturally.

Q. Are there any water marks left on the glass by not drying them?

By using pure water, there should be no spotting or streaks left on the windows once they have dried. However, if your windows were quite dirty, or previously cleaned using chemicals, it may take a couple of cleans before the spotting/streaks completely disappear.

Q. Do you clean windows when it’s raining?

Rain water is almost a pure as the water I use and will have no adverse effects on your clean windows.  I work all year round except when conditions are not safe, eg, during storms etc.

Q. Can I cancel a clean?

Yes.  Could I ask that you notify me when I send the notification the day before, or earlier please. However, I will remove customers from my schedule who frequently cancel or notify me too late, ie, on the day I'm due to clean your windows (I can make allowances in certain situations).

Q. Can you come through my house to reach my rear garden?

No.  My equipment will bring in mud and water into your home if I were to do so.

Q. I live in a flat, can you clean my windows?

I can only clean flats that are on the ground floor. If you're above the ground floor, I will only clean your windows if the flat(s) beneath you wishes to have their windows cleaned too.

Q. Do you clean the conservatory roof as standard?

No, this is an extra service and incur extra costs. I clean the sides of conservatories as standard.

Q. Can you clean my solar panels?

Yes, providing they are accessible by using my telescopic pole.
